In this case FO stands for FINALLY OFF the needles! I have no time or energy to knit since school started up again. Our new principal is great but he wants us up and actively engaged with the kids all class period. That is actually something I usually do but when the kids are working on an assignment, I would sometime sit down and grade a few papers, walk around the room, grade a few more, walk around the room, and you get the idea. Now I can’t do that and I can’t get everything graded during my plan, plus make lesson plans, so I’m spending a lot more time at home doing that. Plus the fact that if I’m not in bed by 9:00, I’m completely worthless the next day, doesn’t help much either.
Anyway, enough about me. What did I finish? The Baby Booties! Yeah! Now I can make some that will actually fit a newborn. I think my daughter can hang onto to these until the baby is say 1 year old! Actually they might fit a 6-9 month baby, which isn’t as bad.
I also finally finished the September KAL for the Monthly Dishcloths Yahoo group. It’s a school house which I knitted in red. I think I’m going to slow down on knitting dishcloths and not do them as a KAL. I’ll wait until the picture of the cloth is posted and then decide if I want to knit it.
That’s all the FO’s – I still have lots on the needles but hopefully by the end of next week, I’ll have more off. I really should finish that baby blanket though. It’s sitting patiently by my chair just waiting for me to pick it up and finish it.
One day soon (at least before December), it will be done and ready to keep my new grand baby nice and warm. Until then, it stares up at me like a little puppy pleading to be picked up and petted. Luckily it doesn’t make a lot of noise like a puppy so I can usually ignore it. If it weren’t for procrastination, I’d get more things done! Blasted procrastination!
